Lyme School Friends,

It was a fantastic end to the 2024-2025 school year! We had a great field day, 7th grade bell ringing, and graduation last week! If you have any photos of these events that you would like to share, we would gladly take them. Any photos can be emailed to either jdentremont@lymeschool.org or aperry@lymeschool.org.

Information about accessing your child's state test scores is found below. In order to access scores, you will need to log-in to ALMA.

You should have received an email with your student's report card from ALMA. You can always access a current and previous report card in ALMA as well as view attendance and sign important forms required each year.

After school closed, the staff spent the morning on Thursday moving everything out of the K-3 wing in preparation for the asbestos and abatement project. We moved swiftly and finished this process by 10AM. On Friday, we were able to have a meeting as a staff and close our year.

The abatment started on Monday at 9AM. Please know that the building is completely closed and turned over to the construction company until the abatement is complete. You can follow the progress of the project through this link. If you need something, please email jdentremont@lymeschool.org or call 802-359-7048 and someone will be back in touch.

Please don't forget to mark your calendars, school starts on September 2nd for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a later start than usual due to the construction project.

Have a great week and fantastic summer!

The next newsletter will hit your inbox some time in the middle of August in preparation for the 2025-2026 school year!

As always, thank you for your partnership and please reach out if we can be of assistance.

Regards,

John P. D'Entremont, Principal

Student Results for the New Hampshire Statewide Assessments

Grades 3-8 students completed the annual state assessments (NHSAS). All students completed tests in Reading, Writing, and Math. 5th and 8th graders also completed a Science test. Parents can access the test results through the parent portal in ALMA, our student information system.

Once you log into ALMA, you will see a “test results” tab. Click on this tab and you will see a green button that takes you to the test results in the New Hampshire Department of Education Family Portal.

Summer Reading information is now available. This is also posted on the school website. The slides contain information for grades K-8, including lists of recommended titles from various organizations. For rising K-5th grade students, focus on maintaining an active habit of daily reading. For students in rising grades 6-8, there are assigned books and work to complete for ELA for Ms. Fox. Ms. Fox and I are meeting with all rising 6-8th grade students to talk about summer reading and offer book checkouts. Grades K-5 met with Ms. Judy to hear about the CFL summer reading program. See the CFL website for more details.

Artist in Residence 2025-2026 Artist in Residence 2025-2026

The Circus is coming to town; Circus Smirkus that is! We are excited that this program will be offered as next year's Artist in Residence . This two week residency will take place late September to early October, with an afternoon performance tentatively planned for October 3rd.

This program, based out of Greensboro, VT, promotes skills, culture, and the traditions of a traveling circus. Geared toward all age groups, this residency will for sure, prove to be a lot of fun and we are excited to host this artist!

We are seeking housing for one individual, who will be serving as our school’s resident artist. If any families are interested is hosting, please reach out to Lisa Damren at ldamren@lymeschool.org. Thank you.
