Beginning on Monday, all RCMS Students will take the Georgia Milestones. Testing occurs in the mornings, with make ups in the afternoons and on non-testing days.

We are so proud of our students and believe that the work they have put in this year has prepared them well for these tests. Please support your student at home by ensuring that they are at school on time, rested and prepared to do their best!

Dear Parents and Students,

We hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable Spring Break! As we head into the final stretch of the school year, the next six weeks will be full of activity here at Ridgeview Charter Middle School.

From state and end-of-year testing to exciting school-wide events, musical performances, and our much-anticipated 8th Grade Awards Ceremony, there’s a lot happening as we wrap up the year. We appreciate your continued support in helping students stay focused, prepared, and engaged during this busy and important time.

Also, please note that our School Governance Council ("SGC") elections window is open from now until April 23rd. We are excited to have four parents running for our parent representative positions. You should have received an email with a link to cast your vote. The links are unique to you and should not be forwarded or shared as they can only be used to vote once. Please make your voice heard and vote for our SGC representatives!

Please be on the lookout for updates and reminders from your teachers and the school—we're excited to finish strong together!

Warm regards,

Principal Thomas Garrett

Each student receives five (5) virtual days per semester, which may be used for illness, family travel, or emergencies. These days are designed to provide flexibility, but they must be documented properly. Currently, we are not meeting the district’s attendance threshold. This has a direct impact on our school’s state report card, which is currently an 84/B, and it can also affect our funding.

To help us stay on track, we ask that you please notify Ms. Price (pricem@fultonschools.org) of any absences that fall under the virtual day guidelines. You can do this by:

• Sending an email to Ms. Price with the dates your child was absent, or

• Sending a written note to school with your child

Your cooperation is essential and greatly appreciated as we work together to support our students and school community.

What are the Olympics?? Picture field day, but BIGGER...and three days long! RCMS Olympics take place May 20 -22 during school. Students are assigned countries with dedicated colors and shirts. We open with, of course, an opening ceremony! From there, students compete in different events- quiz games for the more intellectual students, traditional track and sports events for our athletic students, and silly games like tricycle races for....well anyone! Students are not required to sign up for events, but we highly encourage everyone to try at least one event! When they are not competing, students cheer on their teammates.

T-Shirts: All students are encouraged to purchase a t-shirt (designed by an RCMS student!). Purchase your student's shirt (they just need one!) on the OSP website by clicking HERE.
