Our First Days

Hello, SIS Families!

It's been a great start to the 21-22 school year. We have most of our routines and procedures in place and everyone hung in there with those first week adjustments! It's a joy to walk through our halls and into classrooms and see our students. Whether its community building, learning about course content and expectations, or transitioning to the next activity it's a pleasure to see our amazing SIS staff and students interacting! Take a peek at a few highlights of the week!

As you can see, pictures say it better than I can tell it. It's been a great start! Thank you for your support at home. I know getting back into the swing of things can be so exhausting!

Most Sincerely~

Bus Info

Pick Up & Drop Off

Student pick up and drop off has been fairly smooth for the start of the year. As a reminder for all, we ask that parents please drop off and pick up students at the front of the building and follow the circle drive around. You may also park out front and your child may use the crosswalk to enter and exit the building safely. Students may be dropped off at 7:30 am. Please do not send or drop off students earlier as we do not have supervision in the building at that time.

Students who walk to school or ride their bikes will also be dismissed out the front doors and allow to follow the sidewalks out to their route home.

Students who ride the bus will enter and exit the building to the north where the buses will be parked for loading and unloading.

If your child is not following his/her regular routine please be sure to send a note. Notes help our staff know how to help your child at the end of the day should he or she be confused. Please message both your child's classroom teacher and our school secretary, Mrs. Laurie Arwine (larwine@solon.k12.ia.us)

Bus Passes

During the 21-22 school year, bus passes will be issued for emergency child care purposes only.
