UHS Weekly Announcements 8/23/26
🐝 General Information 🐝
The parking passes this year are $25 per student driver. We do have some layers to this:
* If you are scheduled to be on campus for 4 or more classes/day, your pass is $25
* If you are on campus for up to 3 classes per day, your pass is $15
Seniors, if you scored at 40 or higher on your ASVAB, please see Mrs. Pam for your parking pass price.
Blood Drive will be September 1st from 8:30am-2:00pm. (Scan the QR Code below to reserve your spot!)
UHS Coffee Shop is now open. Hours are 7:45-10:00. Hot drinks $1.00, Flavorings .25
The Band practices in the back student parking lot beginning @ 3:30. All vehicles MUST be moved before then!!! If you have questions, please see Mr. Oliver.
Parent Teacher Conferences are September 15, 2026, 3-6.
CHS is hosting an ACT Bootcamp September 25-27. Stop by the counseling office for a flyer that includes a coupon code and instructions on how to enroll.
Yearbooks are on sale now for $90. After December 1st, they will be $125. They can be purchased online @ jhacompany.com or bring cash or check to Mrs. Craig in room 326. We have sold out the past two years so don’t miss out and save $35 by ordering now!!
🎓 Seniors 🎓
Mandatory Senior Orientation will be held on Friday, August 28 at 9:40am in the auditorium. (This is for students only, Parents do not need to attend)
The TN Promise application is open. Apply at tnpromise.gov
🎼 Club/Elective Happenings 🎭
The Marching Band will be hosting the Upper Cumberland Marching Band Exhibition on Saturday, August 29th from 9:00-3:00. 9 Bands from across the area will be performing their halftime and competition shows for each other. Admission is $2. (See flyer below)
$25 Dues for Skills USA: A/V are due by Friday August 28th to Dr. Dobbs in room 111.
The deadline to pay FFA dues is Wednesday August 26. Dues are $25 and will include the club t-shirt for this year. Please turn in dues to Mrs. Slatten in room 108.
The deadline for 1st year FFA members to sign up for the FFA Greenhand Conference is August 24. The conference fee is $20 and includes a t-shirt, lunch, and all conference materials. Please turn in the fee to Mrs. Slatten in room 108 of you plan to participate.
FFA Fundraisers are currently running! Deadline to order and pay is September 9th.
Beta dues are due to Mr. Apple in Room #315 no later than Wednesday, September 2. $60 for new Seniors, $50 for all other new members and $30 for returning members.
Any FCA member who has not turned in their paperwork for Tuesday's Leadership Training should turn that in to Mr. Apple, Room #315 no later than 8:00 am Monday morning (8/24)
Pep club sign ups will end on Friday, August 28th at 3:00 pm. Please see Mrs. Maynard in room 314 to pay. The $35 fee includes admission to all home regular season football and basketball games and a shirt.
