Something to Yelle About
The Weekly Newsletter for the Henri A. Yelle Elementary
WE ARE MEETING ALL
CHALLENGES IN HAYNation!
Yelle Newsletter for October 16th!
Hello from the Yelle.
It might have been a short week here, but even in four days our students crushed it this week in #HAYNation!
In the big picture above, which I use each week as a way to highlight and show what we were able to accomplish during the week, there are pictures of students writing out their thir thinking, playing math games, and dropping their egg in their designed and built contraption. In the middle row you see our two top classes for each grade (Mrs. Carline's and Ms. Fine's) for ST Math puzzle completion for the month of September; our students are doing such a great job practicing their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. The bottom row has a couple of pictures from our indoor recess game playing. you see how our students are doing so incredibly well in everything they are learning. Lastly, there is a picture of this week's #PositiveSignThursday with some smiling faces and the message in how our Students Are Seeing Challenges As Opportunities as they meet the learning that greets them each and every day so far in #HAYNation!
These and the other pictures below that I have snapped throughout the week in and around the classrooms really do relay a story of the phenomenal accomplishments our students and teachers achieved this week. Please check them out below and all over our Instagram feed to help to tell the tremendous story we are writing this year.

Fall Yelle Elementary Parent-Teacher Conferences This Wednesday & Thursday
Fall Yelle Parent-Teacher Conferences Sign-Ups
We are using ParentSquare for Elementary Fall Conference Sign-ups
When a parent/guardian logs into ParentSquare, they can view their children in the upper left of the screen or top of the app. They will see all children associated with their ParentSquare account even if their child is at another school. If they have multiple children, they will be able to view all posts associated with one child at a time. They can move between children simply by clicking on another child from the list.
For school conferences, parents/guardians will need to sign up with each teacher they would like to meet with during conferences. For example, a parent/guardian might want to meet with the classroom teacher and the Art teacher. They would need to sign up for separate conference times with both teachers. Look under “MY SCHOOL, CLASSES, and GROUPS” to find all classes associated with your child.
All elementary conference sign-ups will be available beginning on Wednesday, October 7th at 10AM in ParentSquare.
Look for a post from your child’s teacher where you will be able to select the time that works best for your schedule.
Wednesday, October 21 – Yelle Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences 5 to 7:45 PM
Thursday, October 22 – ½ Day for Parent-Teacher Conferences 11:40 Dismissal
Thursday, October 22 – Yelle Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences 12 Noon to 6 PM
Parents/guardians should have received an email invitation from ParentSquare to sign up to receive electronic school notifications prior to the beginning of the school year. If one wasn’t received, please reach out to Karen Winsper, kwinsper@norton.k12.ma.us who will assist.
