A Note from your Principal A Note from your Principal

Dear Clark students, staff, and families,

This week, I visited several classrooms and attended the School Choice Annual Conference. I had many takeaways, but throughout, I was able to reflect on what we want a Clark graduate to look like. Our mission is to Equip and Empower Students for Success. I loved seeing the academic and collaborative learning. These are key skills across settings after high school. I also love seeing student leadership skills develop and bloom. In the next two newsletters, I will be sharing a couple student driven writings and events that truly demonstrate the commitment to growing leaders we have here.

With gratitude,

Dr. Judd

A note from 9th grade student

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching and Martin County facing a 12.1% food insecurity rate, it's places like Elev8hope that make a difference. Help contribute to the impact Elev8hope is making by donating necessities for this upcoming season.

The donation list includes: stuffing, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, cream of mushroom soup, canned green beans, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, cornbread mix, cake mix, and icing.

For every two full bags of groceries, you will receive one service hour.

Our community's needs are growing, and we need your help to meet them. Please consider making a donation today to elevate a family in need.

Character Counts Week

CHARACTER COUNTS! Week highlights the value of good character and its important role in building strong communities that value positive, healthy relationships and respectful behavior. During CHARACTER COUNTS! Week, we celebrate young people who are role models of good character in their communities and support the parents and educators who teach our young people to be trustworthy, respectful, responsible, fair, caring, and good citizens.

  • Each day there will be a theme that highlights one of the six Character Counts pillars. There will be a spirit day option or a specific color that aligns with the pillar.

School dress code applies to all Character Counts spirit week attire. If you are inappropriately dressed, you may be required to change attire before returning to class or remaining on campus. Please refer to page 28 of the Student Handbook for a detailed list of dress code.

ASVAB sign ups open!

Testing will take place Monday November 3, 2025. Students must report to the knowledge room by 745am with your school laptop fully charged and ready to start by 8am.

The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) measures a student’s skills in different areas to help predict future academic and career success, both in and out of the military.

The ASVAB has several sections:

-- Word Knowledge & Paragraph Comprehension: vocabulary and reading skills

-- Arithmetic Reasoning & Mathematics Knowledge – math problem-solving and concepts

-- General Science – life, earth, and physical sciences

-- Electronics Information – basics of electricity and circuits

-- Auto & Shop Information – car maintenance and tools

-- Mechanical Comprehension – how machines and physical forces work

-- Assembling Objects – visualizing how shapes fit together

For students considering the military, ASVAB scores help determine what jobs they qualify for.

For students not planning on joining, it’s still a great career exploration tool. It shows strengths and suggests career paths that fit their skills.

💚🖤Get to know your Clark family🖤💚

Meet one of our amazing team members, Ms. Amelia Laiacona

Ms. Laiacona joined us at the end of last school year as our Student Support Assistant. When asked to help get to know her better, she shared she's "From Stuart, loves bulldogs, die hard FL Panthers fan, Air Force Vet, and MBA from Nova Southeastern University and currently working on MSW." Clearly she loves learning which is great as she helps our students gain valuable skills to help with learning at their maximum level.
