.
Two of our most favorite times of the week at CCS are morning worship and devotion and weekly chapel services.
We love beginning our school day each day with a song of worship and morning devotion led by Mr. Yearwood. Faculty members also take part in leading devotion and we also love having our students take on leadership roles during this time as well.
Some scriptures from this week were: Hebrews 13:8, Proverbs 15:28, Proverbs 17:9, Proverbs 27:9.
Each week all CCS students participate in a chapel service. During chapel, students participate in age appropriate lessons led by Christian leaders in our community, missionaries, and teachers.
Taking Care of God's Creations
Looks like these students are taking a little time to give this plant some hydration and relief from the hot sun.
Support and Care
Sometimes you just need a little pep talk from Mrs. Candase to make it all better. We love our elementary counselor, Mrs. Candase Wilkins!
Read Aloud Time
Imagination Creations
Open play during PE time gives students time to use their imaginations to create games, patterns, places, and more.
Building Physical and Mental Strength
Lower school PE students enjoy playing games that challenge them physically and mentally. Concentration, listening for instructions, and the spirit of competition make for great fun during class.
New Challenges
3rd grade students are rising to the challenge as they tackle harder concepts and higher level thinking tasks. Third grade is often a big jump for students as they transition to the requirement of greater comprehension skills.
Assessing for Mastery
New Perspectives
High school art students are digging deeper to learn how to capture perspectives and understand negative space with still life drawings.
Omni Cafe
Upper school students got a little appetizer of what's to come with the Omni Cafe. When the new third party vendor settles in, Mr. Yearwood will work with them to plan meals.
Getting Closer
As we are learning to navigate a new facility and find what works best, the upper school worship teams are getting closer to being able to lead live worship during devotion.
Worshiping and Loving Jesus Together
Class time and academics are great, but there is nothing greater than worshiping Jesus together at chapel time!
Building Independence and Responsibility
7th grade students are learning how to monitor their own grades, use email, keep track of assignments on a calendar, and much more in their upper school orientation and study lab class.
Loving Music
Piano students are growing in skill and knowledge as they work on basic music pieces.
