ELC at George Earle Weekly Update

Friday, May 17th, 2024
Lovin our peeps!
We just had the most exciting few week wait in Kindergarten! Students spent the last few weeks studying the life cycle of an egg. Classrooms were equipped with incubators and each received a dozen or so eggs. Students carefully studied the eggs each day. They learned that the eggs need to gently turn each day in order for the chicks to develop, use quiet voices in the classroom and the critical temperature the eggs must be kept at in order for the chicks to have the best chance to develop. They were thrilled to witness the hatching process and be joined in their class by joyful peeping of their newly hatched friends!
Last Friday sure was Magical!
Friday was M for "Magic Show Day" and the kids were surprised with a magic show preformed by Nate the Great and they absolutely LOVED IT! There were giggles and shocked "ohhhhs & ahhhh's" pouring out of the gym as the kids watched in awe.
Color Run Fun!

THANK YOU!!!!!
Thank you to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation!!!!! The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation launched the TFT Literacy Program in 2008. Our Program is a year-round initiative to support children in need across our Nation. The Program offers our Nation’s most precious resource – our children – the ability to compete academically and to succeed in life by providing them direct access to books and educational resources that enhance their ability to read and communicate effectively. This Program brings the joy of reading to these children and serves as an important tool in breaking the cycle of poverty. The TFT Literacy Program distributed 4.1 million books in 2023 and has distributed over 57 million books to disadvantaged children since the Program’s inception. Our school was the lucky recipient of books from this amazing charity and EVERY SINGLE KINDERGARTENER will come home with a brand new hard cover book from their donation for their at home libraries!!!!!
