What a great week this has been for the students to enjoy the fall weather! Next week, we will have our Pumpkins on Parade on Tuesday from 5-7pm. There will be food trucks for dinner and lots of craft items for students to decorate their pumpkins that they bring. Halloween is Thursday night, and we will have our class parties and parade starting at 2:15 pm on Friday, November 1st.
We are still in need of volunteers for our Book Fair during Parent/Teacher Conferences. The sign-up can be found below. Also, if you still need a conference, please call our office to schedule. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the great things your students are doing in the classroom and to hear of their progress. There is also a sign-up below to volunteer items to feed the teachers during the long days of conferences. It is greatly appreciated!
Thanks for all the support from the third grade parents during fall state testing week! The kids worked so hard and kept a growth mindset. We are very proud of them!

Our next Friends of Wiggin Street meeting will be November 5th at 5:00 pm. Parent/Teacher Conferences are November 6th-7th, and we will also be having the Scholastic Book Fair in the gym. We are in need of volunteers to help with the Book Fair. If available, please sign up below. Thank you!
Scholastic Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair will be open during Parent/Teacher Conferences. Students will also be able to create a wish list and/or purchase items on Wednesday, November 6th during school hours. A digital e-wallet shopping link will be provided prior to the sale that can be shared with family and friends.
Fall Harvest Parade and Parties
We are excited for our parade and parties on November 1st! Children are invited to participate in our annual costume parade. The parade will begin at 2:15 with parties following. The exception is 3rd grade who has a party before the parade due to specials from 2:45-3:30.
Costumes should come to school in a bag and childrenshould be able to get in and out of their costumes easily. (If you feel your child needs help with his/her costume, please contact the classroom teacher.) Please make sure that there are no scary costumes because of our younger students. There should be no Halloween masks. No pretend weapons of any kind are permitted at school even as a part of the costume. Please save those for trick-or-treat night.
We ask parents not to pass out treats along the route, however some of the local businesses may pass out candy to kids. Our PTO will be providing bags for the treats they get along the way.
