Wake Up Inspired and Go Home Fullfilled
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week
Dear Russell Knight Families,
As many of you know, this week is Teacher Appreciation Week. At Russell Knight, we see this as an opportunity to celebrate all of the staff members who pour into our students each day, including classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, counselors, support staff, and everyone who has chosen to serve in the field of education.
In my humble opinion, education is one of the greatest professions in the world. Our staff has the privilege of investing in young people, building them up, and helping them grow into people who can make a positive impact on the world.
The work is beautiful, meaningful, and incredibly important, but it is also hard.
This week, I am asking you to take a few minutes to send a note or email to a staff member connected to your child. Let them know the impact they are having. Your words of encouragement mean more than you may realize.
One of our hopes as a school community is that every member of Russell Knight wakes up inspired and goes home fulfilled. Encouragement from families helps build that inspiration and fulfillment.
A few minutes of your time can have a significant impact on the people who care for your children, think about them after they leave school, and show up each day ready to help them grow.
Thank you for helping us celebrate and encourage our amazing Russell Knight staff.
Warmly,
Mr. Park

NJSLA Testing
Dear Families of 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders,
NJSLA testing for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students is quickly approaching. Please see the testing schedule below.
As we prepare, a few important reminders to help students perform at their best:
- Ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep in the days leading up to testing
- Provide a healthy breakfast each morning of testing
- Make every effort to have your child arrive to school on time so they can begin testing with their peers
We appreciate your support in helping our students feel prepared and confident.
Thank you,
Mr. Park
