We had our final 3DE culminating event for our 9th grade students at the U of M - St. Paul Campus. The final case of the year asked students to use ideation, creativity and innovation to improve the Delta Gate experience which was a major pain point for Delta customers. We had 4 wonderful groups representing each of our launch teachers present and our judges were so torn between 2 of our groups that they decided to declare them both winners.

Congratulations to Mr Youle's group: Poe Lern, Nga, Shee Ku, Poe and Churea. The judges were extremely impressed by the creativity they used to present their solution (see their amazing animated video here). And an additional big congratulations to Ms. Strupeck's group: Brayan, Tarsys, Ashley, Yovani, Yulisa. The judges were impressed with how well they kept their solution on brand for Delta and really loved their take on "A passenger's journey starts before takeoff." (see the brochure they made here).

Boys' tennis finished off another great season finishing 3rd in the conference and made the quarter finals in team section play. Sophomore Micah Treiber placed 4th in sections, the first Como boys' tennis player to place in sections in 10 years.

The Medical Careers Pathways and HOSA students attended a field trip at the Healthpartners Institute Clinical Simulation Center. Students had the opportunity to work with "live" mannequins, practicing CPR, intubating, taking blood pressure, and using an automated external defibrillator. It was a great experience for all.

The senior picnic was a success! It was packed with food, games, a DJ, and the class of 2025 all enjoying themselves, connecting with their classmates and staff one last time at Como Park Senior High School. Memories were made and yearbooks were signed. Please enjoy some pics of the Senior Picnic 2025.

Seniors Giselle Sanchez-Esparza and Vincent Anderson were recipients of the Winfield Award, given every year to one male and one female student of color from each St. Paul school. The Winfield Award recognizes athletes who have demonstrated high academic and athletic achievements.
