Wednesday Weekly

Calling all 3rd–5th grade families! The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) is just around the corner for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. At Roslyn, it’s a tradition to help our students stay focused and energized during testing by providing a variety of snacks.

If you would like to help, we’ve created an Amazon wishlist with snack items that can be donated to classrooms. Families are also welcome to purchase items and drop them off at school if that is easier. Please have snacks in the office by April 2nd.

Thank you for helping us support our students during testing and for your continued support of our Roslyn Bulldogs! 🐾

With the support of the Roslyn Road PTO, we are delighted to welcome author Michelle Schaub for a visit on Monday, April 20th. Ms. Schaub will talk with students about her career as an author and discuss her books. This week in library classes we are beginning our dive into her work as an author and poet.

If you are interested in purchasing a book to be autographed, please return this order form with payment (cash or check payable to Roslyn Road School) by tomorrow, Thursday, April 2nd.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Lang.

Friday, April 10th from 3:30–5:30 pm: Countryside Elementary School

Join us for an afternoon of adapted games and activities for students of all ages and abilities.

Please take a moment to RSVP so the committee can plan accordingly. All students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Step Inside Our School… Like You’ve Never Seen It Before

By any chance, did you hear about that video that was shown at Roslyn’s Parent Party?! Get ready for a playful, mockumentary‑style tour of Roslyn Road, where the everyday magic of learning meets a wink of humor. From “behind‑the‑scenes” interviews with our most enthusiastic students to candid moments with staff who may or may not take recess very seriously, this video captures the heart, charm, and personality of our school community.

🌟 It’s lighthearted. It’s heartfelt. It’s Roslyn—told with a smile.

Special thanks to George Zwierzysnki and Kourtney Sellers for the production of this gem!

Barrington 220 community,

As we notified you yesterday, there were some technical issues with summer school registration that prompted us to take the system offline on Monday. The vendor has now rectified those issues.

We will be re-opening registration this Thursday, April 2nd, at 8 a.m.

In the meantime, you can visit our Summer School page to review our course offerings. This is where the registration link will appear on Thursday morning.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding.

Any Dual Language parents who are interested in Jump Start 1 and need after school care (after 12 pm dismissal), can sign their kids up for Boys and Girls Club at Sunny Hill. You will have to pick up in Carpentersville whenever you choose to pick up. For more information about the Jump Start program click here.

Have a ton of too-small Roslyn gear laying around? Looking for some spiritwear and love a great deal? Announcing our new clothing swap! Donate gently-used Roslyn and Barrington gear in the bin in the school foyer. Then, shop pre-loved items at any Roslyn events. We love a great opportunity to reuse and show our Bulldog spirit!
