Happy Friday, Kramer Families!
We are so proud of our students this week! Our 3rd and 5th graders did a fantastic job on state testing. They showed great focus, effort, and determination—way to go!
Our 1st graders had a wonderful time on their field trip to Chrishom Park, where they learned all about farm animals. It was a fun and hands-on experience that brought their learning to life!
Reminder the last day of Foreign Language is Tuesday April 28th!
As we head into a busy season, we have many field trips and event in the school coming up! Please remember that ALL parents and guardians must have a background check on file with the board office in order to attend. This process can take a few days, so we encourage you to plan ahead. Please reach out to the main office if you have any questions.
Joke of the Week:
Why did the cow go to school?

Reading Corner April Newsletter
Does your student understand what they are reading? A reader needs to understand what they are reading; simply reading the words is not enough. A good way to know if your student is understanding what they are reading is by asking questions. Questions about the story elements (characters, setting, events, etc.) let you know if your student is comprehending the text.
Some questions you may want to ask:
Who is the main character?
Where does the story take place? (Setting: place and time)
What is the problem?
How was the problem solved?
Activities:
Ask your student to retell the story.
Have your student draw a picture of the story.
In Reading Corner, we are using the UFLI curriculum. Here is a parent resource for you to look at!
If you need help with any of these activities, please reach out to

Health Reminder: Flu and Seasonal Illness
We are seeing an increase in flu and seasonal illnesses at school. To help prevent the spread of
illness, please keep your child home if they have a fever (100°F or higher), vomiting or diarrhea,
significant cough, sore throat with fever, body aches, extreme fatigue, or flu-like symptoms.
Students should be fever-free for 24 hours without medication and symptom-free for 24 hours
after vomiting or diarrhea before returning to school. Thank you for helping keep our school
community healthy.

PTG
Read At Home
Kramer RAH (Reading At Home) is a voluntary program from K-2nd graders that builds a home-school connection by rewarding students for reading at home. Each week students record the books they've read and turn-in record sheets for rewards. Rewards alternate between a student selected book and a small prize.
Have you connected your Kroger Rewards card to the Kramer PTG yet? Each account can be connected to ONE nonprofit. When you use this feature, Kroger donates a percentage of your expenses to our PTG. You just have to sign up once!
