Everyone had a great time and did a wonderful job. SMS will be hosting the GCCTM on March 2nd with 8 teams representing SMS. Go SMS Mathmagicians!

The Art department has exciting news to share! We have TWO students chosen as Youth Art Month winners. YAM is an annual celebration that emphasizes the value of art

education for all children and encourages support for quality art programs in Ohio schools. We are so proud of our SMS artists and wanted to share this news with you. Attached is some information about YAM, other winners and an invitation to the ceremony. Check it out!

Reminder: student course registration for the 24-25 school year at SHS is currently open and will close on Wednesday 2/21. During this window, students must log into PowerSchool and register for the courses they wish to take next school year. If students have questions or any concerns, they should contact/make an appointment with their guidance counselor.

To complete your registration, please follow the following step-by-step instructions:

1. Log into your PowerSchool account. (It must be the student’s account.)

2. Click on “Quick Links”

3. Click on “Class Registration”

4. When you click on the pencil in each category, the course screen will appear.

• Select the desired class by clicking the appropriate square box to the left of the class you want.

• Don’t forget to click “Okay” after each selection

• Follow the same process for each category.

• You will see a green check if you selected the class correctly.

• The electives have been separated into categories.

• The following items are under “Other Programs/Electives”:

• Speed, Strength, and Wellness

• College Credit Plus

5. If you plan to play a sport next year, please select that sport under “Other Programs/Electives”

• Choosing this option does NOT automatically sign you up for the sport. You will be responsible for signing up/trying out for the sport.

6. Click “Submit” after all classes have been selected.

7. You can view your classes by clicking on “View Course Requests” at the top of the page.

Sign Up for Track:

Track Season is right around the corner. Please sign up for track by completing final forms. Athletes must have a valid physical to start practice on February 26th.
