A Note from the Dean A Note from the Dean

Hello Pioneers!

With only eight days left in the quarter, now is the time to check your grades, wrap up any missing assignments, and reach out to your teachers. If you have questions or concerns about an assignment or your overall grade, please send your teacher an email today!

School Expectations Assembly

Last week, we held grade-level assemblies to review school-wide behavioral expectations. Students were divided into groups to address specific trends we have observed:

  • Boys Assembly: Reemphasized the importance of personal space, keeping hands to ourselves, and avoiding rough play/play fighting.

  • Girls Assembly: Focused on fostering positive peer relationships, stopping gossip and rumors, and eliminating negative self-talk or peer dialogue.

  • All Students: Reviewed appropriate hallway behavior during class transitions and stressed the importance of arriving at school and every class on time.

Please continue to remind students of the importance of following school expectations to ensure everyone's safety

Upcoming Field Trip: Volunteers Needed!

We are heading to the National Museum of the United States Army at Fort Belvoir on December 17th from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM!

We are actively seeking parent chaperones to join us. If you are interested, please complete the volunteer application form and return it to the school. If you prefer a paper copy, please email me directly and I will send one home with your student.

Battle of Route 7

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our team during the Battle of Route 7! I know it was a chaotic night with strong storms rolling in, but I truly appreciate how quickly and safely everyone cooperated to take shelter inside Dominion High School.

Thank you for your continued support! I am looking forward to another wonderful week ahead. As always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

- Ms. Allo, 7th Grade Dean
