Tiny Prep Classes at KJ DANCE

Welcome Tiny Prep Dancers,

Tiny Prep classes are designed for young dancers who are interested in building a strong foundation for future PULSE opportunities or who are looking for a more focused training experience alongside a consistent group of friends.

Dancers will participate in one hour of ballet and one hour of jazz each week, with an emphasis on developing technique, strength, stamina, confidence, and classroom skills. Training together each week also gives dancers the opportunity to build friendships, create community, and grow together as a group.

Tiny Prep is a wonderful next step for dancers who love to dance, are excited to grow, and may be interested in auditioning for the Tiny PULSE Company in the future!

Will my dancer have a recital at the end of the year?

YES! Tiny Prep dancers will perform TWO dances in the KJ End-of-Year Concert! ✨

Tiny Prep dancers will take the stage in both a Ballet routine and a Jazz routine, giving them the opportunity to showcase everything they have learned throughout the season!

The concert is a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, performance experience, and lasting memories while celebrating a year of growth alongside their Tiny Prep friends.

Performance schedules and additional concert details will be shared as the event approaches.

We can't wait to watch our Tiny Prep dancers shine on stage!

What if my dancer wants to take another class each week?

Many of our Tiny Prep dancers choose to add an additional class to their weekly schedule! Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Combo classes can be wonderful additions to Tiny Prep and give dancers even more opportunities to build technique, confidence, strength, versatility, and performance skills.

Our KJ faculty carefully designs the class schedule so dancers can often attend classes back-to-back, making it convenient for families. Take a look at the classes immediately before or after Tiny Prep—you may find the perfect additional class for your dancer!

Not sure which class is the best fit? Our office staff is always happy to help with recommendations and scheduling!

✨ Concert Bonus: Dancers enrolled in an additional performing class will have the opportunity to perform an additional routine in the KJ End-of-Year Concert, giving them even more chances to grow, perform, and shine on stage!

Can we ask a friend to join?

Absolutely! Dance is always more fun with friends, and we'd love for your dancer to invite a buddy to join them!

Friends can always try a class for FREE! They will simply create an account at kjdance.com, add their dancer, and select the Drop-In class they'd like to attend. Our faculty will be notified of the trial and will be ready to welcome them.

If your friend loves class, they can easily enroll online or contact our office for assistance. We can't wait to welcome them to the #THEKJWAY family!
