Inclement Weather Updates
https://www.springfield.k12.or.us/families/inclement-weather
This link will take you to our District Website where you will be able to sign up for 'flash alerts' for any upcoming weather that might close school. Go to the bottom of this page and click whichever kind of alert you would like to recieve.
School closures are made very close to 6am if the weather is too poor to host students. There is also information about bus routes as well.
No News is Good News! If you don't hear anything from the flash alert you can always tune into the news, radio or visit the SPS District website as well. Please become familiar with these other communication channels.

PBIS Survey
Please take time to fill out this brief survey about our Yolanda Positive Behavior Intervention Support system (PBIS)
https://forms.gle/oFWhTH9voGZkWdpq9
This survey will help us better understand how to share information with families as it relates to our Tier one system that supports all Yolanda students. Also, parents who complete the survey will have their student entered into a drawing for a BIG TOWN HERO lunch!
Thank you to all the families that completed this survey as they finished their conference.
Your feedback does matter!

We don't have a PTO meeting during December. We look forward to seeing you all on January 20th in our Library at 5pm.
In case you have any questions for our PTO their email is: yolandaelementarypto@gmail.com
Thank you PTO for dinner on the long conference day the soup and salad were enjoyed by many!
Illnesses at school
We are quickly approaching Flu season and we are experiencing multiple kinds of illnesses at school. Just a reminder, if your student isn't feeling well, please take their temperature at home. We have specific guideline we must follow for students experiencing sickness.
Vomiting/diarrhea- stay home for 24 hours after last episode.
Fever- stay home for 24 hours after it has subsided without medication. Fever is considered 100.4.
Please call the office at 541-744-6418 if your student will be out due to sickness. We will ask for the symptoms when you call.
Lost & Found
PLEASE swing by campus before or after school and check out our Lost and Found box in front of the gym. It is filling up with missing sweatshirts and jackets.
All items will be donated during the Winter Break.
Dress Warm!!
As the temperatures drop, please remember or remind your children to dress warmly for school. Layering is key—make sure they have coats, hats, gloves, and scarves. This will help keep them cozy and healthy during outdoor activities.
Thank you for your attention!
We are looking forward to a great December and were thankful to see so many of you during conference times. If you were unable to attend conferences, please reach out to your teacher for a time to connect after school this week or over the phone.
We all wish you a blessed and safe holiday season!
