Week 12

Happy Halloween! And happy end of October, tomorrow starts our Thanksgiving/November Fun. All of the children had a blast on Pumpkin Day, thank you for helping us with supplies to make the fun happen.

As the holidays get closer, please let me know if you are planning on going out of town during the school week. That way I can let the office know and your trip won't get interrupted by a call from the school.

There is an early release this coming Friday.

This is our last week in our Family and Friends Unit! For week 4 we will focus on My Community. We are going to learn about the different people that live, work, or play close together. We are going to explore the people in their community who keep them safe and healthy.

Our Vocabulary this week: community, neighbor

Photo discussion cards: firefighter, police officer, mail carrier, construction worker, neighbor

This week's letters: F, f, O, o

For math we are looking back at our attribute words and how to sort things into different categories. Words like: blue, circle, classification, rectangle, red, square, triangle, yellow

For our calm down strategy, we will be working with two strategies this week. S.T.A.R. and Balloon breathing.

Some of them are standing on the opposite side of the coat and end up putting their coat on upside down.
