Prosper ISD Earns Superior Rating in State Financial Accountability System

Prosper ISD held its required public hearing on the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST), which rates how well school districts manage their financial resources. The 2025-2026 rating is based on the district’s 2024-2025 financials, and Prosper ISD earned an A, Superior Achievement, with a score of 94. The district also passed all four critical indicators, which are pass/fail measures that include submitting the annual financial report on time, receiving an unmodified audit opinion, meeting debt payment terms, and making timely payments to agencies like the Teachers Retirement System and the IRS.

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS

Named by HEB’s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 68-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics, and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

We are incredibly proud to share that Prosper ISD has officially been recognized as a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) District by Solution Tree's Evidence of Effectiveness Committee. This is one of the most prestigious recognitions in education — and it belongs to every single person who shows up for our students every day.

This distinction is not given lightly. It is earned — through years of intentional collaboration, a relentless focus on learning, and a shared commitment to ensuring that every student in Prosper ISD has the opportunity to succeed at the highest levels.
