π Meet the Counselor
Hello Families! My name is Ms. Holliday, and this is my 30th year in education. I am so excited to be the Lamar school counselor this year. In Guidance Class, I help students learn about feelings, making friends, solving problems, and making good choices. πΆ Builiding Character Kids
Character Kids!
At our school we learn about the Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. Together, we can help our children practice these traits at school and at home as they grow into kind and responsible citizens.
Meet Poochie Pooh!
Meet Poochie Pooh! He's our friendly classroom puppet who loves to help with lessons. Poochie Pooh barks, giggles, and shares stories to keep students engaged while we learn about feelings, friendship, and making good choices. The kids love him, and he makes learning extra fun!

What We''re Learningβπ»
During our guidance lessons, students have been learning important skills to help them succeed at school and at home. We've focused on understanding and practicing our school rules, following directions, self-control, and keeping calm bodies. We've also explored the character traits of respect, responsibility, and trustworthiness. In addition, we've discussed and practiced what to do when we have strong feelings. This week, students are learning simple strategies to solve problems in positive ways. If you have any concerns about your child learning the above topics, please contact me through email or phone...

Family Tip: Ask your child to share one way they showed respect, responsibility, or trustworthiness this week. Celebrating these moments helps build strong habits!
