Greetings Heartland Families!

I hope everyone has had a good weekend and you've been able to stay warm. It is hard to believe we have 10 days left until we break for the holiday. It looks like the weather threw us a curve ball again, but that's ok! We will get our iReady testing finished this week.

iReady testing for all grades K-5th resumes tomorrow, Monday, December 15th. iReady testing will take place Monday with make ups on Tuesday. Please encourage your student to take their time and do their best as we finish strong this week! In addition, it is important that they eat breakfast either at home or at school OR both as breakfast is free at school. It is also important to make sure they are getting a good night's rest. Please make sure students are in their classrooms by 7:30AM so they have time to get organized and ready for testing.

To acknowledge and reward students for their efforts on iReady, we will be having an Elf Party on Thursday, December 18th. To be able to join the Elf party, each student must raises their iReady math AND iReady reading score by 4 points from their August score. In addition, the student/s that have the largest growth from each room will be invited to join our admin team for a pancake breakfast. We are so excited to see how well our students do and how much growth they show.

Our second of three Family Feasts is this Wednesday . We will be hosting Monday/Wednesday Preschool classes, 1st grade and 5th grade. Our last family feast will take place in February will be for kindergarten and 3rd grade. If you have not stopped in to scan your ID with our new system, please try to do so Monday or Tuesday so you don't get stuck waiting. Also, don't forget to prepay if you plan on eating Wednesday.

Hello Heartland families! We are excited to announce the return of a holiday market so that our Bulldogs can shop for family and friends. All gifts will be $1-$5, with the majority being just $1. The decision was made to put this together ourselves versus using a company as a fundraiser, which has allowed us to keep prices down with the hope being that everyone will be able to shop. We are looking for volunteers to help shop with children that might need some assistance. If you have even an hour to stop by that is a huge help! Please reach out to the PTO so that we can ensure we have enough volunteers to run smoothly.
