Message from Administration Message from Administration

Happy New Year! We would like to extend best wishes to all of our Lisbon students, staff, and families for a happy and healthy new year.

We hope each of you had a restful and meaningful time with your family and friends during the winter break.

January is always about fresh beginnings and positive change. We love the promise of the New Year and all the possibilities that it offers for our children here at Lisbon.

We are ready to make 2023 a year filled with success through hard work and dedication by providing students with daily opportunities to learn and grow. We are in this together – administrators, teachers, support staff, students, and families. Thank you for partnering with us on this journey!

On behalf of the entire Lisbon staff, thank you so very much to all of the families that contributed to Gifts of Gratitude!!! We are all truly blown away by your generosity and it was such an amazing surprise and VERY much appreciated!! You have made our entire staff feel appreciated and valued!

LES is a very special place. We are thankful for our students, staff, and parents. Let’s make 2023 the best year ever! Please call us if you have any questions or concerns. We are happy to assist in any way that we can.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Anoff, Principal

Donations Needed for Reverse Engineering Instructional Seminar

Many 4th grade students have signed up to participate in the Reverse Engineering Instructional Seminar. Students will take apart objects to see how they work and discover the technology used inside.

As the holiday season approaches, many of you may begin purging closets and cleaning out toy rooms. If you have any items that you wouldn’t mind donating for our reverse engineering students, please send them in with your child. There is a collection box in the main hallway and another one outside of Mrs. O'Connor's classroom. This collection will continue through February.

Items do not need to be in working order, but they should be safe to disassemble, have a way to be taken apart (flat-head or Phillips-head screws), and no larger than approximately a shoe box. Some suggested items are below:

-Calculator
-Clock/Watch
-Alarm Clock/Radio
-Television Remote Control
-See and Say/Etch a Sketch Toys
-Remote Control Cars or Other Cars with lights and sound
-Pop Lights

From the Health Room

Tis the season for many illnesses!! Parents, please make sure your children are feeling well and are fever free before sending them to school. There is a lot of flu, RSV and Covid still going around. Please email me at joanne_okeefe@hcpss.org if your child tests positive for flu or Covid. Please remember if anyone at home has Covid, your child should be wearing a mask while in school. Let's all try to have a happy and HEALTHY Holiday season!!!

5th grade parents---please check your emails/student's backpacks for outstanding health forms that need to be completed prior to Middle School. Please have them completed as soon as possible and return them to the Health room.
