Randall Weekly Update - Week 33
🧳🛫🏫8th Graders to Washington DC
I am thrilled to share that our 8th-grade field trip to Washington, D.C. was an overwhelming success! Our students were completely immersed in the history of our nation, learning nonstop as they eagerly explored the capital and logged an impressive 20,000-plus steps each day. Even with the exhausting schedule, I want to express how incredibly proud I am of their behavior. They were respectful, engaged, and represented Randall exceptionally well at every monument, museum, and memorial we visited. Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us and for your continued support in making these invaluable educational experiences possible. Thank you to Mrs. Vanderloop and Mrs. Kroening for leading the way and chaperoning the students from the airports to the hotels and everything in between.
👟🏃👟Spring Cleaning
The PE department is looking for some gently used tennis shoes for students to borrow when they forget it's a gym day and wear their sandals or crocs to school. All sizes are appreciated, but currently in need of big kids sizes 6 and up. Just send them to school in a bag labeled for Mrs. Pearce. Thanks so much for your help!
I look forward to continue working with you and our students throughout the 2025-26 school year. It is my goal to be as clear and supportive as possible. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at agarcia@randall.k12.wi.us with any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Alexandra Garcia-Bankowski

Week 31 Highlights
Counselor's Corner
From Ms. Roth
Hi Randall Families!
We are in the home stretch! I've had a lot of conversations with students this week who are really feeling that 'end of the year burn out' - I let them know how normal it is to have that feeling. Since this is a topic that I talked about frequently with students this week, I thought I would share some strategies to help your kiddos get to the finish line!
-Getting enough sleep
It's getting nicer out and the sun is setting a little later each night which can make it hard to get the kids to bed at a decent time, but sleep is so important for them to keep their energy up during the day.
-One thing at a time
I know some middle schoolers are feeling overwhelmed with getting their assignments and projects done by the end of the school year- just take it one task at a time.
-Move your body
Take walks, play outside, get some fresh air! They need to give their brains a break once in a while.
-Ask for help when needed
Every staff member in our building wants to see our students succeed! Remind them to ask for help when they need it!
I'm looking forward to finishing out these last 5 weeks strong!
Please reach out with any questions or concerns. :)

Speak Up Speak Out Program for Randall
Randall School is pleased to announce the launch of the SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT confidential tipline as part of our school safety efforts. Tiplines are used to identify threats to schools, and for concerns impacting school age youth such as bullying, drug use, suicidal thoughts and more. Schools that promote and use tiplines have less violence overall. The SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT (SUSO) tipline is run by the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Office of School Safety. Parents and students, this tool is available for anyone to use to help keep the Randall Community safe!
Randall students will engage in learning about how to advocate for their own (and others') safety and well-being over the next month in partnership with our counselor, Mrs. Roth, as well as other members of our student services team. We encourage you to speak with your child about the importance of communicating when/if they feel that their safety may be compromised.

Thank you in advance for all of your support!
