February Family Newsletter

A Message from Mrs. Sandlin -- Proud LTE Principal
February is a month of Kindness
February may be the shortest month, but it has one of the biggest hearts. This month, our Leader in Me focus is kindness—a simple choice that can create powerful ripples in our school and beyond.
Kindness shows up in many ways: holding the door, offering a smile, including someone at recess, helping a classmate, or speaking encouraging words. These small moments add up, building a school culture where everyone feels safe, valued, and seen.
At school, students will be practicing kindness through daily interactions, classroom discussions, and leadership opportunities that encourage empathy, respect, and service. We invite families to join us by modeling kindness at home. Share kind words, practice gratitude, and look for opportunities to serve others together. Even small acts—writing a thank-you note, helping a neighbor, or choosing patience—can leave a lasting impact.
Let’s work together to make February a month full of compassion, connection, and caring hearts. When we lead with kindness, we help our children grow into confident leaders who lift others as they rise.
