Dear Carmen Arace families,

With just six weeks remaining of the school year, we have entered the home stretch. We are excited about the activities, performances, and celebrations that come with the end-of-year season. Keep an eye on our school calendar and look for alerts to remain informed of upcoming events at CAIS and CAMS.

To ensure we end the year on a high note, we ask for your continued partnership in encouraging our scholars to remain focused and make positive choices.

District Benchmark Assessments

  • May 11th-18th: IReady Reading and Math (grades 5-8)

We encourage our scholars to get a good night’s rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive focused on performing at their absolute best.

Attendance Matters

Our students' average daily attendance:

April 2026

CAMS: 94%

CAIS: 95%

Year-To-Date

CAMS: 94.9%

CAIS: 95.3%

Every day counts!

Staff Appreciation Week

This week, we celebrated Staff Appreciation Week. We would like to extend deep appreciation to every staff member for their commitment to cultivating a safe, nurturing learning environment for our scholars.

If you would like to show your appreciation for a particular staff member who has had a significant impact on your child this year, you are welcome to send words of encouragement via email or exchange a kind word just to let them know they have made a difference!

CAIS Farewell Celebration

We hope you will join us for the CAIS Farewell Celebration event on June 11th at 5:00 PM.

As always, we appreciate your support. Contact the school at 860-286-2622 with any questions, suggestions, or concerns.

Let’s make these last six weeks the best ones yet!

With appreciation,

Ms. Bunting and Ms. Wright

Pollen is in the air, and allergy season is here! Please check with your pediatrician about managing seasonal allergy symptoms at home.

A friendly reminder about district policy regarding pink eye, also known as conjunctivitis: if your child woke up with one or both eyes red, sealed with discharge, or if their eyes are itchy or painful, he/she should stay home and be seen by their health care provider. If prescribed an antibiotic eye drop/ointment, he/she may return to school after 24 hours of medication. Please send in a note from your healthcare provider.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the school nurse.
