🐾 BMS Is Heating Up!
While the weather may be cooling down, BMS is heating up! This week is packed with exciting events and opportunities for our students and families.
The entire week is Above the Influence Week, and students will have a different dress-up theme each day. As part of the week’s activities, students will also participate in a fentanyl awareness presentation, “Unintended Consequences,” designed to educate students about the serious dangers and consequences of fentanyl.
We’re also getting ready to wrap up our football and volleyball seasons with our Pink-Out Pep Rally on Monday! Our BobKats will finish their seasons with football taking on Lynn Lucas on Monday and Tuesday, while volleyball will face Lynn Lucas on Monday.
Tuesday is Picture Day at BMS, so be sure to come ready to smile! 📸
On Wednesday, BMS will host our annual Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat from 5:30–7:00 p.m.
We would love to see our students and families join us for an evening of fun, games, and community!
Finally, on Wednesday, the BMS Orchestra will perform its Fall Concert at the PAC from 5:30–7:00 p.m. Then, on Thursday, the BMS Advanced Bands will take the stage for their Fall Concert at the PAC at 7:00 p.m. We hope you’ll come out and support our talented BobKat musicians!
It’s going to be a great week at BMS. Let’s make it one to remember, BobKats! 🐾💜🖤
Attendance Matters: Grade Level Challenge
Thank you to our parents for helping ensure that your students are in regular attendance. BMS finished the first nine weeks above our 96% attendance goal at 96.04%! We need your continued help to keep us above our goal and push that number even higher.
We will also be kicking off our Thanksgiving Break Attendance Challenge! With only 4 more weeks until Thanksgiving Break, each grade level will have the opportunity to earn a different reward each week by achieving at least 96% attendance. Let’s keep going strong as we claw our way to Thanksgiving!
GEAR-UP After-School Tutorials
8th Grade GEAR-UP Tutorials are offered on:
Tuesdays: RLA, Math, and Science
Thursdays: RLA, Math, and Social Studies
Students who need transportation to a satellite stop must register each time transportation is needed. Sign up here.
For 6th- and 7th-grade students, please check your teachers’ WAG through the WAG Dashboard to see which days tutorials are offered. Students attending tutorials on Tuesday or Thursday who need transportation may also use the transportation sign-up link above.
📬 In addition to staying connected through the BobKat Blast, be sure to follow us on Facebook at WISD Brabham for the latest updates, photos, and celebrations of our BobKats Rising to the Mark! 🐾💜🖤
