Parkway Parent Post
October 2026
Message from Mrs. Commesso
It’s going to be a fun and busy October at Parkway! From Bulldog Boo Bash and Red Ribbon Week to Fall Break, there’s plenty happening. Read on for dates and details.
Academic Parent Update
On October 27, grade-level teams will share your child’s academic progress information, along with a video explaining how to read it. If you have questions or would like to discuss your child’s progress, please contact their teacher. Report cards will be shared digitally.
Annual Title I Parent Meeting
Please join us on October 19 at 9:00 a.m. in the library for our annual Title I parent meeting. We’ll explain how Title I supports our school, what the program requires, and how families can be involved.
If you would like to request an in-person or phone conference, please contact your child's teacher to set up a time.
PTO Presents
🐾 Attendance Matters
Being at school every day makes a difference! Each day our Bulldogs are here, they have the opportunity to learn, grow, build relationships, and be part of their classroom community. We appreciate our families helping us build strong attendance habits by making school attendance a priority.
📊 This Month’s Attendance
Campus Attendance: 95.69%
Our goal: 96% 🎯
🏆 Top Grade Level: 4th Grade with 96.59%! Way to SHOW UP!
This year, we have some fun ways to celebrate our students for SHOWING UP!
🏅 Monthly Attendance Badges
Students who have perfect attendance for the month will get their September attendance badge next week. These will be displayed on our “We Show Up!” brag boards located in each grade-level hallway.
🍿 Classroom Popcorn Challenge
We have some classroom's getting VERY close to receiving their popcorn party for having 100% attendance. Who will be first to get their popcorn party? It's a close race between Mrs. Lopez's 1st grade class, Mrs. Gonzalez's 1st grade class, Mrs. Angel's 3rd grade class, and Ms. York's 4th grade class. Keep showing up Bulldogs!
Parents, you are an important part of helping us reach our attendance goals! Unless your child is sick or there is another important reason for them to miss school, please help us make sure they are at school, on time, and ready to learn every day. If your student does miss school, please send a note when they return.
Every day matters. Every Bulldog matters. WE LEAD! WE LEARN! WE GROW! WE SHOW UP! 🐾
