Greetings, SKS!!!

Happy Sunday!

What a wonderful Homecoming celebration we had! The gorgeous, sunny day was the perfect backdrop to such a joyful occasion. Events like these remind me how lucky I am to work in such a strong community filled with pride and school spirit! Plus, that was my first Kona Ice -- YUM!

As we continue on with our weekend, I want to remind you that Sunday begins our 40 hours of devotion. Join me to hear Fr. Jeremy this week on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night at 7pm. I know you will come away with a sense of peace and greater connection to God.

Speaking of connection -- It is awesome that so many of you expressed your wish to support St. Francis after last week's fire. Tomorrow's dress down day proceeds will benefit the school, thanks to your recommendation. See below for more details.

Please check out the calendar events below -- don't forget about school pictures Tuesday and field trips coming up!! I wish you a very happy Sunday and a great week ahead!

Supporting St. Francis Supporting St. Francis

Monday is a GREEN AND GOLD Dress Down Day!

Thanks to all of you who have so kindly reached out to ask how we can support St. Francis Grammar School after last week's fire. We have decided to designate Monday as Green and Gold Dress down day to show our support for the school. We suggest a donation of $5. We will then make a significant contribution to the school from SKS. Thank you in advance for your support!

If I told you you could donate 1K to SKS, but it would only cost you $100, would you do it?

If the answer is YES, then you should attend the October 21 webinar about EITC. Learn how to redirect your state tax dollars to support our students and receive a 90% tax credit! Can't make 10/21? There are more opportunities in November and December! Click the QR code for more info.

What a great day to be a Wildcat!

Special thanks to the Greissers for organizing this year's Homecoming at Dittmar Field. It was a beautiful day to watch flag football, and enjoy food from Pizza Wagon and the Kona Ice Truck! Thanks to our 8th graders for face painting and cleaning up, and for ALL who attended to make the day such a celebration!

Meet Fr. Jeremy!

Next weekend begins our annual 40 Hours of Devotion. Some of you may know Fr. Jeremy Heirs as he was assigned at Villanova for awhile. He is now the Director of Justice and Peace for the Augustinians. I know Fr. Jeremy's presentations will be well worth your time -- don't miss this great opportunity for prayer and reflection.

Sunday, Oct. 20 at 9:30AM - Children's Mass followed by Newcomers Parish Coffee

As our annual Stewardship Appeal approaches, take a moment to be grateful for all that God has provided: home, family, friends, the St. Katharine of Siena community. Please consider sharing your gifts with SKS so the parish can continue to provide the ministries, services and faith opportunities that make this a vibrant place to gather and worship God.

Being able to pass the Catholic faith and sacraments to our children is a wonderful blessing from God. The 2025 Confirmation candidates will be recognized at the 9:30AM Mass. Join us for a parish coffee hosted by Religious Education after the 9:30AM Mass where you can greet the confirmandi and SKS's newest members to welcome them to their new spiritual home! Faithful Families will have a children's service project for new parishioners when they register at SKS.
