October is flying by, and we have so much excitement happening at Marvin! Our Fall Festival is TOMORROW, Saturday, October 17th! We hope to see all of our Mustang families come together for a fun-filled day of fall festivities, community, and Mustang spirit!

We are also excited to officially reveal this year's Halloween Parade theme: SUPERHEROES! Get those capes and costumes ready, Mustangs! We can't wait to see our students show off their superpowers and creativity on Friday, October 30th!

As we head into another exciting week, we have plenty of learning, leadership, and fun ahead! Please take a few minutes to read through all of the updates below so you don't miss any important reminders or upcoming events.

Marvin's Fall Carnival is TOMORROW- SATURDAY, October 17th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM! Join us for an evening of family fun featuring carnival games, a corn maze, slides, a haunted trail, cake walk, mini golf, face painting, and more! Entry is FREE, with tickets available for games and activities. Delicious food will also be available for purchase. This event is open to the entire community, so invite your family, friends, and neighbors! We can't wait to see you there!

Join us for our next PTF Meeting this Tuesday, October 20th, at 6:00 PM in the auditorium! We will also have a Kona Ice Fundraiser that afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Students who wear their Marvin gear will be entered for a chance to win a FREE Kona Ice! Show your Mustang spirit, enjoy a sweet treat, and come support our wonderful PTF!

School Choice for the 2027–28 school year is opening soon! Families interested in attending a school outside of their neighborhood school may apply to up to three schools during the Priority Choice Window from October 5 through November 15, 2026. Applications received during this window will enter the January lottery together, and families will be notified of offers by email. Please review the information linked below for important details, including TK enrollment, transportation, parent workshops, and additional support. Spread the word to friends and families wanting the Mustang community!

As a reminder, smart watches, cell phones, and other personal devices may not be used during the school day. We have recently had incidents with students using them to text or make calls during instructional time, including receiving calls and messages from family members. To help protect valuable learning time and keep our classrooms focused, please ensure your child's smart watches are placed in “School Mode” and all devices capable of calling or texting are stored in students’ backpacks throughout the school day. This is in alignment with district policy. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our learning environment focused and distraction-free!
