Happy start of summer, SG R-II families!
Our dragons had a fun-filled, sunny last day of school, full of laughs and a few tears. And, as today was my LAST last day of school before retirement, I spent time in our buildings, swapping smiles and celebratory high-fives.
Families, thank you for raising such amazing and outstanding children. There are many of you I had in class myself as an educator, and many who had me as a principal in middle school. I can't express the gratification in seeing your growth over the years, and then the joy we feel when our new round of students are our former students' children. Thank you for keeping our Dragon traditions strong, while also helping our SG R-II family always strive to grow and be better.
Faculty and staff, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with and getting to know each of you. I am very comfortable and confident leaving SG R-II in your hands. Together, you are going to continue to do great things for our students, employees and community. Thank you for your time and commitment to this great district. Thank you for taking care of our students and always doing what is in their best interest. Thank you for taking care of and genuinely caring about each other. Lastly, thank you for the smiles, kind words, conversations, and support throughout our time together.
