Learning is hard work, but that doesn't mean that we can't have a little fun along the way. Kindergarten and first grade students had a surprise read aloud guest today. The Cat In The Hat made a guest appearance and had fun celebrating Dr. Seuss's Birthday. First grade students then got a chance to dive in and do some of their own reading, while kindergarten students made special hats to celebrate the day!

The state-required testing in grades 3-5 will take place from the end of April through the beginning of May. You will hear these tests referred to as "OST" which stands for Ohio State Tests. We ask that you make every attempt to have your child at school on these testing dates and avoid doctor appointments or unnecessary absences.

Make plans now to join us at the March 12 PTO meeting to learn about Positive Behavior and Intervention Supports(PBIS). Assistant Principal Chris Williams and Principal Scott Schmidt will be sharing about PBIS and how it is implemented at Jefferson Elementary.
