A Message From Dr. Nadjarian

Dear Families,

Thank you to our Room Parents and Parent Volunteers for your help in planning, coordinating, setting up, and cleaning up. We received a lot of candy and treat donations, and our parking lot was filled with breathtaking rows of beautifully and creatively decorated cars! It was such a fun filled day as we kicked off the day with a costume parade and classroom parties before our Trunk or Treat extravaganza!

I was so impressed with all the effort and talent that went into our students' (faculty and staff and parent) costumes! Congratulations to Grace in Grade 4 (pictured below) who won the costume contest! Her prize is an ice cream party for her entire class! Way to go Grace!

Middle School

I am so proud of our Middle Schoolers! They did A LOT of the behind the scenes work in preparation for our Trunk or Treat celebration! Students helped sort through the candy, move and set up tables outside, and decorate. My favorite moment of all of Friday was observing when students from Grades 6-8 came together and strategized how to put up and decorate the canopy. The students were willing to help in any way and truly worked from their hearts, what great leaders!

Halloween Literacy

Thank you to Kate, Ethan, and Juliet from Grade 6 who helped Ms. Soukas, our reading specialist put up the Halloween Literacy Walk! After putting up the story, the three students led the walk with our PreK students. PreK students loved being read to!

Halloween Activities for Grades 2+3

Grades 2 & 3 had a spooktacular crafty time making skeletons with Q-tips and ghosts with cotton balls while listening to a Halloween playlist. It was fun to see the different approaches each student took to make their creations. Some first laid out the Q-tips to make their skeleton patterns and then glued the pieces to their paper. Others glued the Q-tips as they went along to form their pattern. Still others first drew a skeleton and then embellished the drawing with the Q-tips. They brought their ghosts to life with googly eyes and smiles. BOO!
