Dear Families,
We are so proud of our 3rd–5th grade students for the incredible effort they put into their STAAR assessments last week. They showed focus, perseverance, and a positive attitude throughout each testing day. Their hard work truly reflected their growth and commitment to doing their best—way to go, students!
We want to remind you that our campus will be closed to all visitors on Thursday, April 17th as our 5th grade students will be taking the Science STAAR test. To help provide a calm and focused testing environment, there will be no lunch visitors, volunteers, or campus visitors on this day. Thank you for your support!
Also, please note that there will be no school on Friday, April 18th or Monday, April 21st. School will resume on Tuesday, April 22nd.
We hope you have a safe, relaxing, and joyful Easter weekend with your families!
This is a reminder that all students who ride the bus must scan their smart ID when getting on and off the bus. Students who fail to scan their IDs, as directed by the district, will receive a disciplinary referral.
If your child needs an additional ID, please email their homeroom teacher to request a new one. Note that there will be a fee for the new ID, which must be paid through Pay&Go.

Please save the date for our upcoming Learning Celebrations! These special events will showcase the hard work and achievements of our students. We encourage you to join us to celebrate their growth and success. Please be sure to check the updated dates and times for each grade-level event, as there have been some adjustments.
***All celebrations will take place in the classrooms, with the exception of the 5th-grade celebration, which will be held in the gym this year.
*Also, be on the lookout for Pre-Raptor forms with more information, which will be sent home at the beginning of May.
*School aged children MAY not attend learning celebrations, this includes high school students exempt from finals.

The 10th Annual CTE STEM Summer Camp will be held this summer at Tays Junior High, providing incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students with an engaging, hands-on STEM learning experience.
Camp Dates (Students Choose One Session):
• Session 1: Monday, June 9, 2025 – Thursday, June 12, 2025
• Session 2: Monday, June 16, 2025 – Thursday, June 19, 2025
• Time: 8:00AM – 3:00PM
Location: Tays Junior High
Cost: $180 per student (includes lunch & t-shirt)
Transportation: Not provided; must be arranged by parents/guardians
Registration Details:
• Opens Monday, April 14, 2025 at 8:00AM
• Available online only through Pay N Go
• Limited to 128 students per session (first-come, first-served)
• Each student may register for only one session (both cover the same content)
• Payment via Pay N Go is required at registration and is non-refundable
