The Academy Avenue Announcements
Dear Academy families,
Our first full week and Open House went well last week. This may have been our highest turnout over the past several years. It was great to hear from so many families and friends how nice it was to be "back to normal". We're now at the midpoint of the first month of school and those routines are really starting to take shape what looks like an incredible school year. Already we are seeing teachers shifting towards the small group model and launching our new Wit & Wisdom program in our classrooms.
As with any new school year, the Student Handbooks have been sent out digitally as well as the photo release forms. To help families complete & return of these forms, we sent home a paper copy of the acknowledgement form on Friday for your convenience. Please get them back to your child's teacher. We need one for every child in the building. Please and thank you.
Lastly, as we are dedicated to safety, please remember that the top lot is open each morning for arrival parking up to 9AM. Only school staff is permitted to park in the lower circle area. Additional parking is available on Candia St., Sutton St., and Broad St. Place (please watch for posted parking signs). Please remember that Academy does not allow drop-offs on the lower circle (which is for buses only) and especially never drop off on Academy Avenue itself. We appreciate your support in this matter.
