South Davis Shines

Hello South Davis Families.

Here are a few reminders and updates for the coming days.

I want to welcome a few new folks to the building.

• Mr. Kline is our new Physical Education Teacher.
• Mrs. Jackson is our new School Psychologist.
• Miss Bencini is a new 3rd grade teacher, as we added a section due to increased enrollment.
• Mrs. Ellis and Mrs. Grasso are our two new Lunch Monitors.

Please be sure to keep all of your family's contact information up to date in the Parent Portal. Whether it's new phone numbers, new email addresses, or the names of emergency contacts or people picking up your child, double check all the details before next Wednesday.

While we have made great progress on the Capital Project, there are still some parts of the building that will need more time to be finished, which you will see on Wednesday. Staff have only just been able to get into their spaces to unpack and get things ready. Rest assured we'll be able to welcome everyone with open arms on September 9.

In addition to all the fun happening outside during our Back To School Bash, be sure to check out the Cafeteria stage. There are books, games, and other items that are available, free for the taking.

Room Parents play a key role in helping our classrooms stay connected and organized. You’ll help share PTO updates, coordinate volunteers for fun school events, and support the teacher with classroom activities and communication.

Room parents are randomly selected to give everyone the opportunity to serve their child's classroom. While you may have multiple kids at this school, we limit household participation to one family / year.

Please answer a few question so we can best understand what rooms you are available to volunteer in.

Eligible families may receive:
