Honoring Ann Tussey’s Legacy of Learning and Literacy
Together, Let’s Build a Legacy of Learning
Ann Tussey dedicated her life to learning and literacy. A beloved kindergarten teacher, passionate advocate for education, and devoted library patron, she inspired generations of young learners. She also served on the Library Board of Trustees for 16 years, following her mother’s 16-year service—together representing 32 years of commitment to the Danville-Center Township Public Library.
To honor Ann’s lifelong dedication, the Danville Library Foundation is planning an interactive magnetic wall in the children’s activity room. This hands-on feature will include a ball run designed to spark imagination, creativity, problem-solving, and collaborative play. The wall will be enjoyed during storytimes, children’s programs, and by families visiting the library.
The project began with an unsolicited gift from a group of Ann’s retired teacher colleagues. The Foundation now seeks to raise the additional funds needed to complete this meaningful memorial.
Plans have been shared with Ann’s former colleagues and her family, with Mr. Kevin Tussey expressing his support and appreciation for this tribute to Ann’s enduring impact on the community.
