CAIHS Updates

Good Morning CAIHS and TCHS Families,

As a reminder, there are times when the schedules at TCHS and CAIHS do not align. When this occurs, families will have two options for students:

Option 1 – Bus Transportation
Students may ride the bus to CAIHS in the morning. They will be supervised in a safe space and have the opportunity to catch up on or get ahead with schoolwork.

Option 2 – Parent Drop-Off

Families may choose to drop students off at the start of Fourth Period.

• Start time: 10:01 a.m.

Dates with Adjusted Schedules:

• Friday, August 29

• Tuesday, September 23

• Friday, January 16

• Friday, February 13

• Friday, March 20

CASD Early Dismissal Days

On CASD early dismissal days, TCHS students will go to TCHS in the morning and then, upon return to CAIHS, report to the end of 5th period and continue with periods 6–7.

Early Dismissal Dates:

• Wednesday, September 17

• Wednesday, October 15

• Wednesday, December 17

• Tuesday, December 23

• Wednesday, January 21

• Friday, February 13 → Note: No TCHS this day. CASD dismissal is at 11:25 a.m. Students should report to 4th period at 9:04 a.m.

Two-Hour Delay Days

On district-wide two-hour delay days, TCHS students will not report to TCHS. Instead:

• Students should report to CAIHS for 4th period at 10:59 a.m.

• Students arriving earlier will be assigned a location to wait until 4th period begins.

Days When CAIHS Is Closed but TCHS Is Open

On these dates, TCHS students may report directly to TCHS.
Please note: CASD will not provide transportation on these days.

• Monday, November 24

• Tuesday, November 25

Thank you for your continued support in helping us ensure these schedule changes run smoothly. I have also attached the Powerpoint Presentation that we reviewed with the students today at TCHS.

I’d like to share an update on some of the new teachers joining our team this year.

• Math Lab: On September 8th, we will welcome Ms. Megan Anderson as our new Math Lab teacher. She is excited to join CAIHS and looks forward to working closely with our students. In addition, a second Math Lab teacher is currently in the hiring process, and we look forward to introducing him to our community as soon as he officially joins.

• Spanish: We are also pleased to announce that Mrs. Sano, our new Spanish teacher, will be starting with us in early September. She is in the final stages of transition from her former school district, and we are eager to welcome her to CAIHS.

We are thrilled to have these talented educators joining our staff and are confident they will make a positive impact on our students’ learning and growth.
