Thank you to our dads for joining us this week for Mass and doughnuts for our first-ever Doughnuts with Dads. The turnout was amazing, and it was such a blessing to spend some time celebrating the dads of our awesome students. I am excited to celebrate our moms come May when we celebrate Muffins with Mom.
Speaking of fathers, I want to say thank you to Father Clem for treating our students who attended the Wild Robot movie on Wednesday with a treat from the theater. The kids and teachers all had an awesome time, and his support improved the experience.
Friday, October 11th marks the official end of the 1st quarter, which means three things. One, students will be bringing home report cards on Tuesday, October 15th, and we will be recognizing our 3rd-6th graders on the honor roll on Wednesday, October 16th, during the morning opening. Two, conferences will be from 4:00-7:00 next week on Wednesday and Thursday. Make sure you know your sign-up time so conferences can be effective and efficient. Finally, the end of the quarter means we check our HEART ticket jar to see how many good deeds were recorded throughout the 1st quarter. This quarter we recorded 166 tickets! That means students were caught by staff 166 times doing something above and beyond. That’s more than 4 extraordinary good deeds a day. Great job SHS kids! I’m looking forward to seeing all the amazing things we can do the rest of this year.
