The Student Council is engaging in their annual fundraiser again this year with their clothing order. The official Gonzaga Merchandise Store is now open at the following link: https://gonzagahighschool.itemorder.com/ . Students and families will be able to go online to choose and pay for their clothes/items from today until Monday, October 26th at 11:59 pm. THERE WILL BE NO ORDERS PROCESSED AFTER THIS DEADLINE.

If students/families miss this deadline, they will have to wait until our next online order which will happen in the winter sometime. All graduation hoodies/items will be on this order and the next in the winter/spring. All Grade 12 students are asked to verify their names on the sheet outside of Mr. Cluney's office. Any changes to any names must be brought forward to the secretaries no later than Friday, October 16th, 2026.

All clothing items purchased during this order will be delivered to students here at Gonzaga prior to the Christmas Break. This is a great opportunity to pick up some Gonzaga swag for the whole family and to help support the Gonzaga Student Council initiatives this year. They will make great gifts for the holidays!

Opportunity for Youth to Help Shape Newfoundland and Labrador's Future Opportunity for Youth to Help Shape Newfoundland and Labrador's Future

Premier Tony Wakeham is inviting youth across Newfoundland and Labrador to step forward and help shape the future of our province. If you are between the ages of 16 and 24 and want to make a real impact, this is your opportunity.

The Premier is seeking applications from young people interested in serving on the Premier's Youth Advisory Committee (PYAC). The committee will include up to 25 members from across the province who will discuss issues that matter to youth and provide advice on government policies, programs and initiatives.

PYAC will consider topics such as population growth, rural revitalization, mental health supports, the development of Churchill Falls and Gull Island, education and employment, and affordability challenges facing young people.

As a PYAC member, you will share your ideas and experiences directly with government leaders, build leadership skills and gain valuable experience working with peers from across the province.

We encourage applications from youth of all backgrounds and interests. Whether you are involved in student leadership, volunteering, arts, sports, advocacy, skilled trades, community organizations or simply have ideas you want to share, your voice matters.

For more information about the committee and how to apply, visit the PYAC website.

Applications close on October 30, 2026.

We hope you will consider this opportunity to speak up and get involved. Your perspective can make a difference.

More information can be found from the Public News Release available HERE.
