Message from Mrs. Jones

Hello, Fallbrook Families,

Like many of you, I spend today reflecting on the events of September 11th, 2001, and feeling especially grateful for those around us who serve as helpers in times of need. Please join me in taking a moment to thank a first responder today.

News for This Week:

Progress Report Grades: Our first progress grading period closes on Wednesday, September 21st. Please check grades regularly through the Parent/Student Portal. If you have any questions about grades, progress, missing work, etc., please reach out to your student's teacher!

Senior/Graduation Information: If you missed the Class of 2023 Information Night, students will be receiving this and additional senior information through their government classes on Monday, September 19th. Please ask your student to share what they have received!

The Warrior Way/ASSETs program is up and running! For more information, check out the Warrior Way page on the FHS website.

Student ID cards have arrived and are in the process of being distributed. If your student did not pick theirs up during lunch on Thursday or Friday, they will receive it this week. If your student did not attend registration and take an ID photo, makeup photos will be taken on September 22nd. In the meantime, students may also access a digital version of their ID card via the 5 Star App. Note: Students are expected to carry an ID card at all times, whether physical or digital. As we finalize makeup photos, IDs will be required to obtain breakfast/nutrition, lunch, supper, and bus access.

Reminders:

  • Does your student need a bus pass? In order to ride the bus, students need to 1) complete a bus pass application indicating which semester(s) and which route they will be riding, 2) submit their completed application to the AP Office, and 3) pay in full or begin making monthly payments on a pass. Any portion of a bus pass may be paid each month to create a "payment plan;" however, in order to continue riding the bus during 2nd semester, all 1st semester charges ($75) must be paid in full. If you have any questions about the bus pass application or purchase process, please reach out to the Main Office at x3102 or the AP Office at x3103.
  • If you haven't already, please review the Student/Parent Handbook together. I want to specifically highlight the ways in which students demonstrate Warrior PRIDE, and how we invite families to support Warrior PRIDE; both are also included below for reference.

Please take a moment to review some of the resources available below. If there is something you need, please feel free to reach out by telephone at (760) 723-6300 x3102 or x3103.

Let's make this a great week, Warriors!

Parking Permits Are Coming!

Click HERE for a parking permit application, or stop by the AP Office for a printed copy. Placards have not arrived yet; however, seniors can begin the process of purchasing their spaces through ASB on Monday 8/29 on a first come, first serve basis.

Seniors purchasing spaces will need to go to the ASB window during regular hours, purchase a space for $50, and select their space number from those available. Once the students have completed their purchase, they will then bring their completed application to the AP Office to receive their parking permit. All students must have proof of a current license, insurance and registration. We will send out a follow-up communication once the placard has arrived and students can complete the parking permit process.

Optional Locker Sign-ups

Please complete the locker request form if you would like to request a locker for the 2022-23 school year. Please note, lockers will be issued by request only and will be approved on a case-by-case basis. As a reminder - textbooks have been ordered so that students may keep a set of books at home; a locker should not be necessary for day-to-day purposes. Once we have reviewed and approved your request, the assistant principals' office will provide your locker assignment.

Students Demonstrate Warrior PRIDE:

  • I am a productive and healthy individual who understands how to focus on developing myself as a whole person- body, mind, heart, and spirit.
  • I know that I have what it takes to be a responsible leader.
  • I am an innovative thinker who can identify and explore my genius.
  • I am a determined learner who feels empowered to lead my only learning process.
  • I am an effective communicator and collaborator who recognizes that change starts with me.
Parents Support Warrior PRIDE:

  • Advocate for the body, mind, heart, and spirit of their individual students.
  • Encourage and support opportunities for students to be leaders in their home, school, and community.
  • Recognize, cultivate, and value their students' unique skills.
  • Empower their students to own and lead their learning process.
