Warren School Weekly Update

June 7, 2024
This week was an exciting one at Warren School! We had a fantastic time with several special events:
- First Grade Fairy Tale Parade and Ball: Our first graders dazzled us with their creative costumes, the parade through our school, and finally their ball in the Dining Room.
- Grade 2 Field Day: Today, our second graders are enjoying a fun-filled Field Day, full of energetic activities and teamwork.
- Kindergarten Animal Adventures: Thanks to the PTO, our kindergarteners experienced an engaging presentation from Animal Adventures, where they learned about and interacted with various animals.
Below, you'll find pictures capturing these exciting moments as well as photos from our May Whole School Assembly, where we recognized our Role Models.
A big thank you to the following classes for their amazing presentations during our whole school assembly, focusing on our core values:
- Mrs. Canney’s Second Grade Class
- Mrs. Kane’s Second Grade Class
- Mrs. Tripp's First Grade Class
- Ms. Baci's Kindergarten Class
- Ms. Mantos’ Kindergarten Class
Our students will have many special events and activities over the next week and a half. Please remember to ask your child about what is happening in their classroom and our school.
Have a great weekend,
Pete Regan

Warren Students Spreading Kindness in the Community
With the help of Warren School’s SEL team each classroom wrote letters or made pictures or bookmarks for different Ashland community members. Thanks to parent volunteers, students were able to deliver letters to the Ashland town hall employees, fire fighters, police officers, postal workers, librarians, and nursing home residents.

Important Update from Nutrition Services
Hello Parents and Guardians,
As we near the end of another successful school year at Ashland Public Schools, I wanted to touch base with a few important reminders, especially for those families whose students will not be returning next year.
If you’ve been using autopay on www.myschoolbucks.com to add funds for a la carte purchases to your child's meal account, we kindly request that you DISABLE AUTOPAY now to prevent any unnecessary reloads over the summer break. Despite our best efforts to manage account balances, autopay can sometimes lead to complications, so it's best to take this precaution.
Additionally, please keep in mind that we can only issue refunds for amounts exceeding $10.00. If your child has remaining funds below this threshold, you have the option to:
1. Transfer the balance to a sibling or another student who will be returning next year.
2. Donate the funds to support a student in need. We'll ensure the transfer is handled anonymously.
Seniors, if there are any funds left on your account, please visit the cashier at the High School to specify your preferences for handling the remaining balance.
Parents, please submit your transfer and donation requests, including your child’s name, ID number. Additionally, for refunds, please provide the address where the check should be sent.
Please send your request and questions to
Regina Wilkinson (rwilkinson@ashland.k12.ma.us) and
Paula Caffrey (pcaffrey@ashland.k12.ma.us).
Thank you for your attention to these matters as we wrap up the school year. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Warm regards,
Regina Wilkinson
