DMS Community Newsletter 25/26

Dear Defender Families,

We are excited to welcome back our students from Spring Break. Hope our defenders had time to relax and refocus as we head into the last few months of school.

Defenders, be sure to charge your iPads and pack your PE clothes. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!!!

We are in the planning stages for the end of the year. Please see the letter from Mr. Sousa linked here as well as attached below.

Please see the flyers for the Annual Family Update that all returning students must complete, as well as the DMS Clothing Drive.

Message from Scholar Squad: If you are planning to do some spring cleaning this break save the clothes that you are willing to donate. From April 6th through May 15th, Scholar Squad will be sponsoring a fundraiser where you can donate clothes, shoes, sweats, and more! The clothes that are donated will be sent to help families who are in need and will be used to support our school. You can donate before school at the drop off zone, or after school in the office. Make sure that it is sealed in a bag, preferably in a trash bag. So that your donation doesn’t get lost.

It is now time to complete your Annual Family Update in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

This update is REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS RETURNING TO TVUSD FOR THE 26/27 SCHOOL YEAR.

Any student who does not have a completed Annual Update:

• may not be enrolled in a class for the 26/27 school year
  
• may not receive a schedule
  
• and may not be able to participate in school business days in August.
  

It is imperative that all families complete the Annual Family Update as soon as possible to prevent any delay in your child's enrollment for the next school year.

Please note, this process is for RETURNING STUDENTS ONLY. If you have a child in your family who will be new to TVUSD for the 26/27 school year, you must complete the New Student Enrollment process. Click HERE for New Student Enrollment instructions.

If you have a student who is riding a bike/scooter/ebike/escooter to school, they need to complete the Safe Riders Course.
