Reminder that all CVUSD schools are closed on Tuesday, September 23rd in recognition of the local holiday.
Quarter 1 grading period ended on Friday September 19th. Grades are posted on Q Connect (look under "Marks") starting on Friday, September 26th.
- The quarter 1 progress report is a check point for students and families. Please note that grades are NOT final until the end of semester 1 (December 19th). However, It is important to stay on top of assignments early. We highly encourage all students and families to check Q Connect often for grade updates. Email your teachers if you are concerned about any grades or assignments. Early communication and intervention is KEY.
Students who were absent on school picture day or who need a re-take may do so this Friday, September 26th. Cornerstone photography will be set up in the MPR starting at 7:45am. Students should report to the MPR right when they arrive on campus Friday to complete their make up picture.
Redwood participates in one main ASB fundraiser a year and it's time for the fun to start! Our annual Step It Up Fun fundraiser raises money for our student body projects. This year we are hoping to raise money to a new ASB sound system for activities and events in the plaza. We are also hoping to raise money that can be used for student rewards and recognitions!
- The "Step It Up" Kick off assembly will be on Wednesday, September 24th. Students will learn how to raise money for our school .
- Thursday, September 25th will be the first PRIZE DISTRIBUTION DAY! Students who sent emails as part of the fundraiser will come to the MPR after school for a fun prize!
- On Friday October 17th there will be a DAY OF AWESOMENESS. Participating students will earn PRIZES from Step It Up including a FIELD DAY experience on October 17th after school. This is the end of Quarter 1 and will be a minimum day schedule.
Students create art based on their interpretation of: “I Belong”. Create art in any of these categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Writing, Music, Dance or Film. Write your artist's statement on how your art relates to the theme, and turn in! Students’ work will be judged and displayed at our gallery show. All Art Displays will be ANONYMOUS during school hours.

2. Choose a Category & Create: Visual Arts, Photography, Literatures, Dance or Film
3. Fill-out Artist Statement - interpretation is more important than art skill)
4. Turn in Mounted Art & Entry Form on: 10.3 & 10.6 (email digital files and questions)
5. Awards & Gallery Show TBD in October
