Literacy

Skills you can practice at home
- Writing name in proper title case (ex: Alex Smith)
- Letter Recognition A to Z

- Writing Numbers to 10
- Practice counting a collection of 10 objects
Reminders
Thursday Folder
- Please remember to empty out your child’s Thursday folder and return to your teacher every week. You may keep your Thursday folder to reuse next year.
Snack
- Please make sure to pack a daily healthy snack that can be eaten quickly. Please limit snacks to one or two items and avoid candy.
- No juice or colored liquids are allowed in the classroom for snack time. Please send only water.
Homework
- We will start homework in October.

September 22: All Donations Due
September 23: Picture Retakes (Please email your child's teacher if you would like picture retakes)
September 25: Field Day for Grades 1-6, Kindergarten will have our Field Day at the end of the year
September 28: Chap Homecoming Parade 3:30-6:30
September 29: Vision and Hearing (If your child wears glasses please make sure they wear them to school)
September 29 and October 1: Parent Teacher Conferences (Please sign up for a time through the email sent by your child's teacher)
October 1: Chap Homecoming Football Game
October 6: Fun Run Prize Day
October 12-16: Fall Break
