Tardies Begin on August 11th

At Seckinger High School, we believe that showing up—on time and ready to learn—is one of the most important steps toward success. Consistent attendance and punctuality not only help students stay on track academically but also reinforce responsibility and respect for others’ time.

Beginning Monday, August 11th, we will start documenting tardies to school and to class. If a student is not in the classroom at the conclusion of the tardy bell they will need to report to the nearest tardy station. Tardy stations are located in the attendance office, administrative office T202, administrative office T326 and administrative office T425.

Students who accumulate multiple tardies will receive consequences. After five total tardies, students will receive consequences that could include: administrative conference, parent contact, after school detention, silent lunch, and/or In-School Suspension.

Let’s work together to build strong habits that support academic achievement and uphold the Seckinger Standard!

Ro Sham Bo Starts Monday!

Ro Sham Bo (school wide Rock, Paper, Scissors) begins on Monday! Students will receive a beaded necklace during 1st period. You may only play during transitions and your lunch time. At the end of the week, if you believe you are the student with the most beaded necklaces and you would like to compete in the final round of competition during our Fall Pep Rally, you will complete the Google Form on the school landing page. Dual enrollment students should see the teacher listed on their schedule. If it says James on their schedule for first period they can see Mrs. Benson.

Seckinger Traffic Plan

Our school hours are 7:10-2:10. See picture above for the traffic pattern for bus and vehicle entry/exit to campus. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we all learn to follow the traffic pattern to ensure safety and efficiency.

Parent drop off will follow the blue or green traffic pattern. Students may be dropped off at the lower attendance office entrance beginning at 6:30 AM and proceed to the Commons for supervision. The car rider line begins to back up at 6:50. Students may not exit cars in the parking lot.

Parent pick up will follow the blue traffic pattern in the afternoons.

Student drivers will be assigned a specific parking spot for the 2025-2026 school year. Student drivers will also enter/exit from W Rock Quarry Road (back of campus near baseball/softball fields). Each student who drives an automobile to school must register the vehicle by purchasing a parking permit. Parking permits cost $70.00 for the year. Parking will go on sale through MyPaymentsPlus. Parking on campus is a privilege. Therefore, certain rules and regulations are expected of the student to maintain this privilege.

Walkers will use the sidewalks on Sardis Church Road and cross at the light. Walkers will leave campus through the side doors in the tower, cross at the gate at the top of our drive, and proceed to the traffic light.
