Email is also used to receive important information regarding school events, missing work, grade up-dates. and more. It is important to check your email often, if not daily. Also, please make sure your email address provided in your child's back to school paperwork is current and actively used.

Students:

Please check your email daily. Check your email daily or multiple times a day. Teachers and principals send important announcements, events, and information that could be useful to you. Also, it is important, on days absent, that you send your teacher's an email to inquire about missing work from the day or days you may be absent.

Google Classroom

Google Classroom is our online platform to post announcements, assignments, and resources for learning to our students. Through GoogleClassroom, parents can link their email through their student to see assignments that are posted, missing assignments, and announcements. If you are unsure how to link your email to your child's GoogleClassroom please contact one or your child's teachers.

TeacherEase Parent Portal

TeacherEase, our online parent portal software, has an app designed for communicating with parents. Once installed, you can receive notifications about student progress, attendance, school closures, and behavior. Just like the previous portal, you can view grades and email teachers. We think the app will increase communication and improve student performance. If you choose to download the app, please be sure to select the parent/student version.

Welcome to the Middle School Husker family! We are thrilled to have you as part of
our school community. Whether you are returning students or joining us for the first
time, we extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to each one of you!

At Lafayette County C-1 Middle School, our goal is to provide a nurturing and
academically enriching environment where every student can grow, learn, and achieve
their full potential. We believe that education is a collaborative effort between the
school, parents, and students, and together, we create an atmosphere that fosters
growth and success.

Our dedicated and passionate team of educators is committed to inspiring a love for
learning, promoting critical thinking, and nurturing creativity. We aim to develop well-rounded individuals who not only excel academically but also become responsible, compassionate, and respectful citizens of society.

For our new students and parents, we understand that transitioning to a new school
can be both exciting and challenging. Rest assured, our school community is
supportive and welcoming. We encourage you to get involved in school activities, join
clubs, and engage in extracurricular opportunities to make the most of your time at

Message From Grandview Elementary Principal, Dr. Jenni Hayes Message From Grandview Elementary Principal, Dr. Jenni Hayes

We are so excited for the 2024-25 school year! This year we have some exciting changes to the start of school.

We will have a new opportunity for our Kindergarten students called Kindergarten Academy. During Kindergarten Academy students will rotate through lessons with each teacher in a variety of combinations of students. After the first 5 days of rotations, we will have a meet the teacher night on August 27th just for Kindergarteners. This allows us to have an opportunity to create balanced groups of needs and personalities, as well as developing good relationships with all of the Kindergarten teachers.

Additionally we have the gift of new construction. We will be getting a new secure entryway for our building. While we are under construction, there will be some changes that we will communicate as the start date nears. The construction company has a detailed plan for ensuring student safety while they are working in and around the building. We are very excited for all the benefits to our school this project will bring!

This is going to be an amazing school year and we cannot wait to welcome our students on August 21st!

Dr. Hayes presents at National School Leadership Conference Dr. Hayes presents at National School Leadership Conference

Dr. Jenni Hayes had the honor to present at the National Conference on School Leadership. The National Conference on School Leadership marks a joint effort between the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the National Association of Elementary School Principals. The conference took place July 15-17 in Nashville, Tennessee. While there, Jenni, along with Brittany Spencer, her friend, colleague, middle school principal, and Outdoor Leadership Experience alumni from Alabama, presented on the Outdoor Leadership Experience and Leadership Academy. The Outdoor Leadership Experience holds dear to Jenni’s heart and was the subject of her dissertation. Attending and presenting at this conference is an invaluable experience, as it allowed her to engage with fellow educators and leaders who are equally passionate about advancing school leadership.
