Principal's Message
Good Evening Vista Academy Families,
This week is Red Ribbon Week where we learn about making healthy choices and satying away from things that harm our body. Please see the schedule of activities this week, below!
LET’S GET READY TO STROLL this coming Friday, October 30th!
As we celebrate all the hard work our students have put into this fundraiser, we’ll be having our annual Spooktacular Stroll-A-Thon on October 30th!
Our Spooktacular Stroll-A-Thon is fun Halloween-themed event that is the culmination of our Foundation fundraiser. Every grade level will be assigned a time on October 30th to come out to the turf field and parade around and then make their way through the many stations in their costumes. Parents are encouraged to come and watch and even help out at the stations. Please see below for volunteering signup and the grade level schedule for Friday. But we need YOU to help make it a success! If you have an hour or two to spare, please consider signing up to volunteer. Whether you can help for a little or a lot, every helping hand makes a difference! Let’s finish this fundraiser STRONG and make October 30th a day our students won’t forget!
We are getting closer to our $25,000 fundraising goal. Make sure to register and and share your websites with family and firends. If every child raises at least $35 we will meet our goal! We Can Do It!!!!
Costume Reminders for Friday - students may wear appropriate costumes with appropriate shoes on Friday to school. Please ensure they are able to move and walk freely as they will be navigating several stations around the field. Please no fake weapons or bloody or extremly scary type costumes. Students also need to wear athletic shoes.
Dia de los Muertos -this Thursday, October 29th, is our annual Dia de Los Muertos Celebration on Thursday, October 29th from 5 - 7 PM with gates opening at 4:30 PM . Please join us for this special tradition filled family evening focused on remembering loved ones, good food, song and dance! We also need volunteers for this event. Please sign up HERE to help make this event special for our students and families.

Reminder About Candy at School
With Halloween approaching, we are seeing an increase in students bringing candy to school, eating it throughout the day, and sharing it with others. Please remind your students that candy should be left at home and do not allow students to bring candy to school. Thank you for your help in keeping our school day focused on learning!

Vista Academy Dance Groups at the SD Clippers Game
Come Cheer on Our Dance Conservatory at the San Diego Clippers Game!
We are excited to share that our Dance Conservatory groups — PACK Pups, Spirit Squad, and The PACK — will be performing at the San Diego Clippers game on November 6 at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside!
Our dancers have been working hard and are so excited for this opportunity to perform. We would love to have our school community come out and cheer them on!
Grab your family and friends, enjoy a SD Clippers game, and help us fill the stands with support for our dancers!
Purchase your tickets using our link: VISTA ACADEMY LINK
Purchasing through our group link supports our Dance Conservatory program by helping us cover the cost of our dancers’ tickets. It’s a fun way to enjoy the game while supporting our dancers and their opportunities to perform!
We hope to see lots of Vista Academy families, students, staff, and friends in the stands on November 6! Let’s go, Vista Academy!
