Dual Language Meet and Greet
On Wednesday, May 29th at 6:00 p.m., we will be hosting a Dual Language Meet and Greet Event at Northern. During this event, we will host incoming Dual Language students from South Elementary and Woodland Elementary. We are also inviting our current NMS Dual Language Students in 6th Grade to attend with their families. Please check out the flyer attached here for more information. EOG Remediation and Retesting
On Friday, all students came home with letters regarding their performance on End of Grade Assessments for Reading, Math, and Science (8th Grade only). These letters let you know if you child was proficient or not on their End of Grade Assessments. For any students who were not proficient, we will be offering remediation and retesting the week of June 3rd. Please consider returning the letter so we can plan for your child to attend remediation and retesting sessions. All students wishing to retest their EOG must be present on June 3rd and June 4th for remediation days. If your child does not attend remediation on these days, they will not be allowed to retest. Retesting will occur on June 5th for 8th Grade Science, June 6th for Reading, and June 7th for Math.

2024-2025 Returning Student Registration
The registration portal for the 2024-2025 school year is open as of May 15, 2024. IMPORTANT NOTE: This portal will close on June 16th in preparation for a new Student Information System (SIS). Please complete returning student registration prior to June 16th. Completing registration ensures correct contact information prior to the beginning of the school year. Please note that as a returning student, you should have received an email from PowerSchool Enrollment with information regarding returning student registration. This process and the links below are for any students who were enrolled with PCS at the end of the 2023-2024 school year.
*Parents/Guardians were sent an email last week with information on how to do this.
You can also complete returning registration by logging into your Parent Portal account.

NMS Family and Student Handbook
At Open House, we reviewed some parts of our Student Handbook. By clicking on the image to the right you can access a digital copy. A paper copy will be going home with all students this week. Please take time to review this with your child to ensure you are both aware of expectations for NMS Raiders.
Dress Code Reminders
Students must NOT wear:
Clothing which promotes, exposes, or advertises activities not permitted by law to minors (e.g. guns, drugs, cigarettes, or alcohol).
Clothing which depicts profanity, vulgarity, obscenity, or violence.
Clothing prohibited under 4328 (Gang and Gang Related Activity) or any other provision of Board Policy.
Clothes which are overly tight (this includes biker shorts) or loose (this includes pants that sag and have to be pulled up or show undergarments) and therefore too revealing or obscene.
Clothing which threatens the health or safety of staff or students.
Clothing which is reasonably likely to create a substantial disruption of the educational process or operations of the school.
Pajamas (this include pajama bottoms), nightgowns, or other sleepwear.
Hats or hoods in the school building.
Steel toe boots.
