July, 2025
A Note from the Head of School
July is a short but busy month at LCS! We close the office during the week of July 4th for one final break before diving into preparations for the new school year. By this point in the summer, there’s a sense of eagerness and excitement—new beginnings are just around the corner with new teachers, students, classes, and schedules. It’s refreshing and full of possibility.
LCS is in a season of rebuilding and growth, and this summer has been a testament to that. While many changes have taken place, we continue to trust in the truth that God has a plan and His timing is perfect. We see Him working through LCS to serve families who desire a Christ-centered education for their children.
I’m truly looking forward to a great year ahead!

Summer 2025
Art Camp
Art Camp with Mrs. Kim Maner was a wonderful experience for both current and new LCS students. It provided a fun and creative space where students could connect, collaborate, and explore their artistic talents. Throughout the week, they experimented with a variety of art mediums and techniques, resulting in a collection of beautiful and unique pieces. The camp was not only a celebration of creativity but also a great opportunity to build new friendships within the LCS community.
NASA Camp
🚀 LCS Hosts Out-of-This-World NASA Camp with Central Creativity
This summer, Laurel Christian School teamed up with Central Creativity to bring an unforgettable learning experience to our campus — a NASA-themed camp that launched students into the fascinating world of science, space, and innovation!
Led by our very own dynamic teaching duo, Mrs. Tiffani Lyons and Ms. Chloe Lyons, students explored real-world STEM challenges inspired by current NASA research and missions. With excitement and curiosity fueling their imaginations, campers engaged in a variety of hands-on activities that made science come alive.
🔬 Students investigated positive and negative charges, explored the power of the sun by building their own solar-powered moon rovers, and examined how chemical reactions between soil types can inform scientists about the potential to grow vegetation on Mars. From circuits to soil science, each activity was carefully crafted to stretch their minds and inspire future explorers.
🌱 One of the highlights of the week was experimenting with different types of "Martian" soil to determine which conditions might support plant life — a real-world connection to how NASA prepares for deep space missions and studies planetary environments.
The camp was not only educational, but also fun and inspiring. Students were fully engaged and left each day with smiles on their faces and new discoveries in their hearts. We are incredibly grateful to Central Creativity for partnering with us and to Mrs. Tiffani and Ms. Chloe Lyons for their creativity, leadership, and passion for learning.
At LCS, we are always seeking opportunities to bring high-quality, hands-on STEAM experiences to our students, and this camp was a perfect example of learning that’s out of this world! 🌍
Basektball Camp
Thank you, Laurel Christian School, for partnering with Active Impact International. This week, we hosted a camp for 1st-6th graders! We concentrated on fundamentals: dribbling, passing, and shooting—campers enjoyed the competitive games! It was a great week of learning the game, but more importantly, also sharing the Good News with all our campers each day during our group time! Keep working hard, campers!

✨ LCS Sponsorship ✨
Be a part of the growth!
Dear LCS Families, Alumni, Community Members, and Local Businesses,
As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, we are filled with excitement and expectation for what God will continue to do at Laurel Christian School. With a renewed commitment to excellence, growth, and Christian education, we are working diligently to build a strong foundation for our students—academically, spiritually, and athletically.
To help make this vision a reality, we are reaching out to ask for your support through sponsorships and donations.
While tuition helps cover many basic expenses, it does not fully support the additional, yet essential, services that are critical to our mission. This year, we are seeking funding for two key areas in our general operating expenses:
Security Officers at both the Lower and Upper School campuses to ensure the safety and protection of our students and staff.
The Dyslexia Therapy Program, which offers specialized instruction to help struggling readers thrive—an invaluable resource for many families.
In addition to these vital services, we are also continuing to rebuild and grow our athletic programs. Sports at LCS are more than just extracurricular—they build leadership, discipline, and school pride, and are deeply valued by our board, administration, and families. Sponsorships will help offset costs such as:
Uniforms and team gear
Coaches’ salaries
Equipment and facility needs
Referee and official fees
Tournament entries
We are launching our first fundraiser of the school year in connection with Fall Softball and Basketball, and we invite you to become a 2025–2026 LCS Sponsor. Sponsorships can be made by businesses, families, alumni, or community supporters. You may also choose to sponsor in honor of a student-athlete, graduating senior, or LCS graduate.
All sponsors will be recognized in meaningful ways throughout the year, including on our website, social media, gymnasium TV screen, and banners displayed at school events. Each sponsorship level includes a variety of benefits that allow your support to be publicly appreciated by the LCS community.
Your generosity helps us provide high-quality education, strong extracurricular programs, and a safe and nurturing environment for our students. Every gift makes a difference—and we are deeply grateful.
If you would like to become a sponsor, please review the attached sponsorship form or contact us directly at kchancellor@laurelchristian.org or 601-649-4190. There is also an online form on our website at www.laurelchristian.org under the Support LCS tab titled Fall 2025 Sponsorship.
Thank you for partnering with us to grow Laurel Christian School for the glory of God and the good of our students.
For His Glory,
Mrs. Jamie Rogers
