March 2024
📢The Scoop from the Sup'📢
With the arrival of spring, our schools are abuzz with excitement for upcoming activities and events. From sports competitions and concerts to academic endeavors, there's something for everyone to enjoy as we welcome the warmer weather and longer days.
Softball, baseball, and track teams across the district are gearing up for a season filled with learning, challenges, and success. I am eagerly anticipating watching our middle and high school students compete. Come out and show your support as our teams take on their rivals, and let's hope the weather cooperates.
I recently attended the Sturgis Brown High School spring band concert, and our students did a wonderful job. Take a moment this spring to attend a middle school event or the upcoming Sturgis Brown High School choir concert on April 22nd, or the next band concert on May 6th. Come and enjoy these talented students giving great performances, showcasing their hard work.
As the year winds down, we need to remind our students that we are still focused on learning and their academic success. Soon, we will be holding our new kindergarten registration, and a month later, we will be watching students walk across the stage and graduate high school. Education is a journey that helps prepare them for their future through academics, fine arts, and activities.
I hope you are able to witness pieces of our students' success this spring!
Mr. Wormstadt
Superintendent

Bus Route Change Requests for the 2024-25 School Year
Due Tuesday, April 2, 2024
All requests for Meade School District bus route changes for the 2024-25 school year must be submitted to the office of the superintendent by Tuesday, April 2. Requests that are received by the April 2 deadline will be submitted to the Board at its April 8 board meeting. Those requests will then be referred to the transportation committee for review. When acting on requests, the board members will consider the total length of the route, physical condition (safety) of the roads, safety of pick-up points, age of children, number of families served and cost.
The school board may consider prior commitments and extreme hardship when changing a bus route. The board may also make exceptions if unforeseen circumstances arise.
